Blasphemy from above and broken promises from below
Forced to dive into waters too shallow
True intentions hidden beneath disguised speech
The core of your soul they'll try to reach
There are so many people but only one mind
True individuality you cannot find
Congregations of zombies force-fed lies
Blinded eyes can't see through the disguise
Told to be your self but follow their instructions
In a mirror you see them as your reflection
Why must you follow and never lead?
Why not bite the hand from which you feed?
Why have a brain if you can't think?
Swim in their pool and like a stone you'll sink
You drink the wine and you eat the bread
Do you understand what's being said?
Told to be holy in a world full of sin
The game of life no one can win
Follow the beliefs you cannot prove
that lead to distress you cannot remove
In the end the unknown will become clear
Who is right and wrong? The answer you'll fear
