If you don't know, I am a Chicago Bears fan.  After the 2009 season though that is not something to be proud of.  It was a very disappointing season from a fans perspective but it is over and now we can look forward to the 2010 season which should prove to be interesting.

Yesterday the Bears announced they were firing just about every offensive coach they had due to their poor performance since making it to the Super Bowl in 2006.  This included Offensive Coordinator Ron Turner and the QB coach.  They will also be looking for a Defensive Coordinator as well, since Lovie Smith won't be doing it again this coming season.

Hopefully there are some available coaches who can come to Chicago and do some good.  Cutler is not a bad quarterback and could use a really solid coach to help develop him further.  With that being said though, they also need a solid wide receiver coach that can develop this young set of receivers like Devin Hester and Johnnie Knox.

Let us also hope that Urlacher returns next year and stays healthy.  They can say what they want but losing him this past season hurt and hurt them bad.  Yes, their other linebackers stepped up but it just wasn't the same.

I don't have any high hopes for the draft this year since they gave away their good picks to get Cutler.  Free agency might prove to be useful and it may have to unless they find a gem in the 3rd and later rounds of the draft.

I will be watching this develop closely as I would like to wear my Bears hat with pride next season.  Maybe Cutler can cut back on the interceptions next season, that would be nice.
