I was just on CNN.com and they had a poll going like they do everyday. This poll asked the question:

Do you think praying for rain will work?

I voted my answer of no since I am a realistic man and was shocked to see the results.

At the time I placed my vote 42% of people who answered the poll said yes. That equates to 779 people. I am shocked and amazed to see that many people think prayer will bring rain. I wonder how many of those think the rain dance ritual would bring rain?

I guess this just shows how much faith people have in the thought of a divine being listening to their prayers. On one hand it is kind of nice but then again on the other hand it is creepy. I'm sure god or whoever has more important prayers to answer than bringing rain.
