4 Installing Application Server

  1. Insert The Citrix MetaFrame CD into the cdrom drive. The following screen will appear. Select ‘Product Installations and updates”
  2. Select Install Metaframe Presentation Server 4.0 and Components
  3. Accept Licensing Agreement below
  4. Click Next after reading Prerequisites
  5. Select all Components except Web Interface (Note: Only install Metaframe Access Suite Licensing if this is the first server in the farm)
  6. Read Welcome Screen and Select next
  7. Keep default Destination folder and select next
  8. Install both Licensing Management Console and License server – Select Next
  9. Keep Default location for license files and select next
  10. Select Microsoft Internet Information Services and select next
  11. Select OK to restart Microsoft IIS Server and select next
  12. Select Next to Install
  13. Click Finish after successful installation
  14. Select next to install Administration Snap-in for Presentation Server 4.0
  15. Keep default destination folder and select next
  16. De-Select Web Interface and Install all other components
  17. Select Next to Install Application
  18. Select Finish when Installation is complete
  19. Select Next to Install Presentation Server
  20. Select Enterprise Edition and select next
  21. Keep Defaults (Install everything) and select next
  22. Select “Yes” for Pass through Authentication
  23. Select “Create a new Farm” if this is the first server in the farm
  24. Enter Farm name and select “Use the following database on a separate database server”
  25. Select Database Server where the Metaframe database was created
  26. Provide Login Credentials to Database Server
  27. Provide Active Directory Username who will have rights to administer farm
  28. Provide Citrix Licensing Server Name
  29. Configure Shadowing Options. Accept Defaults, settings can be modified later
  30. Select option to “Share Default TCP/IP port with Internet Information Server”. This will use Port 80 for all XML communication
  31. Select to “add Authenticated Users Now”. This will allow all authenticated users access to the Farm.
  32. Confirm all settings and click Finish to continue installation
  33. Select “yes” to change security settings
  34. Click on Close to finish
  35. Select Next to Install Management Console for Presentation Server 4.0
  36. Click on Next to continue
  37. Select Next to Finish Install
  38. Select next to continue with Document Center Setup
  39. Keep Default Destination folder and select next
  40. Select Next to Finish Installation of Document Center
  41. Select Finish to finish installation of Server
