Appendix B - Terminal Services Installation
B-1 Installing Internet Information Servers
- Click on Start –» Settings –» Control Panel, then double click on Add/Remove Programs
- Click on Add/Remove Windows Components
- Place a check Mark next to ‘Internet Information Services’, then click the ‘Details..’ button
- Select the options shown in the image below, then click OK
- IIS will start copy needed files, click FINISH to complete the installation
- Close all other windows to return to the Desktop.
B-2 Installing the Web Interface
- Insert the MetaFrame CD into the CDROM. The following screen will appear. Select Browse CD
- A new window will open. Double click Web Interface
- Two files will be listed, double click WebInterface.exe
- The necessary files will then be extracted to perform the installation
- Select ‘OK, to restart IIS’, and then select NEXT to continue
- Accept the default Installation Directory, and select NEXT to continue
- Accept the default XML server settings (Localhost and Port 80), and select NEXT to continue
- Select option to install the ICA client CD, and select NEXT to continue
- Select NEXT to begin installation
- Click FINISH to complete installation
- Click Exit on the installation screen to close menu
B-3 Configuration of the Web Interface
- Launch Internet Explorer and point the web browser to the administration page. The administration page can be found at http://webserver_IP_address/citrix/metaframexp/wiadmin. Replace ‘webserver_ip_address’ with the IP address of the nfuse server.
- Enter ‘Username’ and ‘Password’ of an account that has administrative privileges on the Citrix server
- Select ‘Citrix MetaFrame Servers’ option from the left hand panel. Add the MetaFrame Application server names under “Server address” in the right panel. Keep all other defaults, the click ‘Save’ at the bottom of the web page
- Select ‘Authentication’ option on the left panel of the screen. Place a check mark in the box preceding explicit login, and place the name of the Windows Domain next to “Login domain.” Click ‘Add’ button to add it to the list. Then click ‘Save at the bottom of the screen to save the settings

- Select the ‘Server-side Firewall’ option on the left panel. Select ‘Alternate Address’ option under Default Address Translation settings, and Normal address option under the Specific Address Translation settings. Specify the prefix that represents the internal network addresses where the server resides. For example: If the internal network segment is a 10.0.0.0 network which is subnetted, and you wish to allow all subnets to the servers, then you would enter the following “1..”. Please note that an extra dot is added. If the network segment you wish to allow to the server is a 172.16 segment, you would enter the following “ 172.16..”. Click the ‘Save’ button at the bottom of the page when completed to save settings.
- Close web browser to complete configuration of the web interface
