I'm Going to San Juan

Grinch's picture

I get online today and I log into my Bank of America credit card account to check my balance. It is much higher than I expected so I view the latest statement and on July 31 I purchased a one-way ticket from Dulles International Airport to San Juan Airport in Puerto Rico. This of course is according to my credit card statement. This little purchase ended up being over $2500. This is all fine and dandy if I actually bought the ticket. I am sad to say I didn't. If I did Puerto Rico wouldn't have been my destination of choice. The funny part of this is the departure date of the flight, which happens to be August 17. That is in two days. I already contacted my credit card company and was put in touch with the fraud department. The card has been closed and they are investigating the matter. They also refunded me the amount charged without any fuss. Hopefully the bastards get caught on Friday. It shouldn't be too difficult to track them down. Now I have to keep an eye on my credit just in case. What a major pain in the ass.

Other than that it has been a relatively quiet week in Grinchland. I'll keep you posted on this situation.
