My wife and I just bought our first house. The downstairs bathroom was done in a pretty ugly wallpaper by my standards. My wife says it was classy. Either way we both didn't like it and agreed it needed to go. I woke up this morning and my wife had started taking down the wallpaper. I decided to help her out and things were going really well. That is until we hit one wall. The wallpaper was refusing to come up nicely and some of the paint started coming up with it. Now we have one wall that is down to bare drywall in places. So the plan is to go get some primer and prime the walls and then paint. Hopefully it comes out nice. I kind of wish we just left it.
