How Much is Your Body Worth?
My wife always says she is going to donate my body to science. I don't really care for the idea. The thought of medical students poking and prodding my dead body bothers me for some reason. I know it is silly since I am dead and it could be possible that something in me could save someone's life. In a way I guess it is a noble thing to do. I am in pretty good health. Yes I smoke, I drink occassionally but for the most part I am good to go. So how much would my wife get if she sold me off to science?
Good thing I found this online calculator this morning. According to the little survey I took I am worth $3,525.00. Not too shabby. My wife could have a nice time with that much money.

But my body is worth $4375 :-D But it is not much... Maybe enough for a better vacation or a nice funeral after they used my body :-D

I was excited until I started thinking, I may be in bad health and thats what they want... someone with alot of health probs. Ok, now picture this... Im a 71 yr old
obese,blind,drunk,smoking, pill poppin,diabetic,albino, parapallegic dwarf. I have a hernia, no appendix, and have a rare medical condition (go figure). I have had heart surgery, im on lithium and work in a factory where Im exposed to toxic fumes and I eat nothing but high fat foods and high sugar sodas... IM WORTH...... $6685. wow that sucks... with all that stuff going on, you would think they would pay more... hmmm... so being worth more is bad... and your dead so you dont benefit. LIFE IS UNFAIR.

15 July 2008 - 9:22am — GrinchThat is too funny. I figured that is how it would work. I guess the healthier and younger you are the less need for them to experiment with. A young healthy person would be good for organ harvesting whereas an old decrepit person would be good for analyzing and dissecting to see what went wrong.
