Tomorrow is Thanksgiving in the U.S., a time for us to be thankful for what we have. It also marks a long weekend for most of us. I will be heading to Florida tonight with the family to go spend a few days with my wife's family. So I will not be here to give you pointless things to read. Because of that I am going to touch on a some subjects that are on my mind.

Crazy Homeless People

Yesterday as I got to Union Station to catch my train there was a woman standing outside the doors having an animated conversation. There was no one around her so I assumed she had a BlueTooth headset for her cell, I was mistaken. This woman was conversing with herself and quite loudly. The odd thing about it was, it looked like she was actually talking to someone standing next to her. She would look to her right and seemed to be intently listening to someone. She even made facial expressions in reaction to whatever the person was saying to her. It was the oddest thing I have ever seen. Hopefully I never see it again because it was very disturbing. Kind of made you wonder if there was some kind of entity standing there talking with her.

Teenage Girls and Webcams

I recently saw an online video of an attractive girl performing a webcam dance when her father walked in on her. There are mixed reports on whether or not the video is real, I'll let you decide.

Webcams and horny teenage girls is a bad combination. You can go on YouTube right now and find hundreds of these videos. I have no idea how old the girls are, most of them are young and probably not of legal age. The problem is most men will watch these videos, we can't help it. It is kind of like putting crack in front of a crack head and telling him not to touch it.

I have an eight year old daughter and the first thing that popped into my head when I saw this video was walking in on my daughter doing this. I cannot say with certainty how I would react but it wouldn't be good, I would probably end up in jail for the night.

The sad thing is, these girls don't think about all the horny old men looking for these very videos. Some of these men probably know the parents of the girl they are watching. Personally, if I was a teenage girl wanting to make this kind of video I would do a few things. One, my face would never be shown. Two, I would ensure my parents are not home. Three, I would lock my door. Simple but effective. I pray that my daughter never does these things.

MySpace

My wife was telling me about a guy someone she knows is friends with. He is in his 40's and has a 15 year old daughter. He was asked if his daughter was on MySpace and he said he thinks she does. So this person found her on MySpace. Apparently this 15 year old girl is making posts about giving oral sex to guys and all kinds of sexual things. Obviously this guy has no clue what is daughter is doing on the internet. That is a shame.

I have two kids who use the internet regularly and I know exactly what they do when they are on it. Neither one of them do MySpace or Facebook. I'm sure as they get older they will and I will be right there monitoring them. I would also hope that if one of my friends found things like that on my daughters page they would tell me, I would do the same for them.

Parents, if you are listening, you must monitor your kids online. It is the least you can do. You are looking out for their best interest. Of course your kid will be mad about it but I would rather have my kid mad then them sending out videos of themselves exposing their naughty bits or getting picked up by a predator. It is your right as a parent and you should exercise that right with extreme prejudice. There are thousands of tools out there at your fingertips to help you with this very task. Use them and be in control, you are the parent.

Vegetarianism

My wife, god bless her, has discovered videos produced by PETA showing the horrible things they do to animals. Now she wants to be a vegetarian. I don't think so. Animals are food. Meat is tasty and good for us. I have sharp pointy incisors for a reason. I could care less how the animal is killed as long as it tastes good. I think I am going to ban my wife from the internet. I refuse to have meat removed from my diet and I will fight her to the bitter end on the subject. I like juicy tender steaks and hamburgers too much.
