I am a Chicago Bears fan. Have been since I was a little boy. I have stood by my team during the good and bad times. Last year was a really good time for Bears fans. They played kick ass defense and okay offense. They made it to the Super Bowl only to lose a game they shouldn't have lost. I credit the loss to Rex Grossman. This year the Bears are struggling and they shouldn't be. The defense is still pretty damn good but the offense once again is lacking. Again I credit this to Rex Grossman. For a first round draft pick he sure does suck. Last night I watched the Bears lose to the Cowboys. It was a frustrating game to watch. Grossman made bad decisions with his throws and walked into two sacks. The Bears could have and should have won that game last night or at least lose by a small margin. Granted, the Cowboys look impressive these year offensively. Tony Romo is a damn fine QB. But the Cowboys have a mediocre defense. Grossman started the game very well. He put together a pretty good drive which resulted in a field goal in the first quarter. But after that he fell apart. I'm not sure what his issue is but if the Bears want to make it to the play offs this year they need to do something different at the QB position. Is Griese the answer? No. Is Orton the answer? No. But they couldn't do any worse. By the third quarter Grossman was being booed and fans were chanting Griese's name. When will Lovie Smith finally get the hint that Grossman isn't his man at QB. The defense can't keep carrying this team. They have the offensive skills, they just need a good QB to make it all happen. This year is going to be a frustrating year for Bears fans.
