What can you say about 11 years? One can say it is 132 months. One could also say it is 572 weeks. Or maybe 4017 days. You could also argue that it is 96,408 hours. But yet you can also state that 11 years is 5,784,480 minutes. And finally you could say it is 347,068,800 seconds. I could keep going but you would probably get bored fairly quickly. 11 years has a deeper meaning to me today.

11 years ago today my life changed forever. Today marks 11 years of marriage to my wife Jenny. These 11 years have been some of the greatest years of my life. Of course we had our down moments just like every other married couple but we overcame them and our marriage is stronger because of it.

Our wedding was nothing special as far as weddings go. We married at the Jacksonville, Florida Justice of the Peace. Afterwards we had a fabulous lunch at Denny's. Later that evening we headed to our romantic getaway for our honeymoon, the Motel 6. We also had a fine dining experience of Long John Silvers takeout where we got some kind of food poisoning. I wouldn't change any of it for all the tea in China.

A week later I was shipped off to Parris Island for Marine Corps boot camp. I think that is what saved our marriage from falling apart the first year. We were separated pretty much the entire first year of our marriage. It sucked, we missed each other and we saw one another on long weekends. Our first five years of marriage was like that. The Marine Corps kept me away for a lot of it. I think that may be the key to a successful marriage.

But seriously, I love my wife. These 11 years have been beyond great. I wouldn't change one thing about them. She has been the greatest wife, friend, and mother. Words can't even begin to describe her accurately enough.

Jenny, I love you. You are by far the greatest thing to ever happen to me. I owe you the world. I look forward to spending the rest of my life with you. I love you baby, mind, heart and soul always and forever.
