End of a Chapter

Today is the last day I can be considered a contractor. It is the end of yet another chapter of my life. This chapter has been a good one. Being a contractor got my foot into the door and now I finally stepped though and am moving on.

Silly New Rape Law

A few years ago a judge determined if a woman says stop in the middle of sex and the man does not stop in a timely manner it is considered rape. As of today eight states follow this ruling. To me this is about as ridiculous as it gets.

The Faces of Meth

It's Friday, why not make two posts in one day.

I decided to post this one as it hits close to home for me. I stumbled across this website that shows the affects of using crystal meth. It is horrifying. You can see the weight loss. You can see the empty look in their eyes. You can see the hopelessness and despair.

So for your viewing pleasure I bring you the Faces of Meth.

KKK is Coming to Town

Tomorrow the KKK is set to have a rally here in Washington DC. Apparently they do it every year. So of course the Capitol Police are ramping up operations to be sure everything goes smoothly. But they are not beefing up security because of the KKK.

From what I have read and have been told most KKK marches are relatively peaceful. Yes they come and they spout their message of hate but they do not cause any problems. What the Capitol Police are more worried about is the anti-protesters. They are the ones that cause the ruckus.

Secure Your Wireless

I just read an article about people using unsecured wireless networks. 12% of people asked said they use unsecured wireless networks. These can be in the form of your neighbors wireless router or sitting outside a cyber-cafe. I am not going to say I have never done it and I will admit I have done it recently.

Phase One is Complete

So you may have noticed the site looks a bit different. This is part of my new site idea. The reason for the drastic change is because I upgraded the site software from version 5.7 to 6.2 and the theme I was using is not compatible with 6.2. So I found a theme that was close and tweaked it a bit. I am not done by any means.

I've Finally Decided

I should get off my ass and start working on these ideas I constantly have floating around in my head. One idea in particular has been banging around the cavernous space between my ears for quite a while now. About a month ago I finalized the vision of what I want to do. Now that it is visualized, it needs to be brought to life. Unfortunately, doing so will involve a lot of time, time I really don't have.

Never a Dull Day in DC

As I have mentioned before, DC is an interesting place. Everyday there is a group of people protesting some thing or another. It could be the Iraq war, the President, Cheney, abortion, or anything that gets people upset. Today is no different and this time it is gas prices.

Pregnant "Man"?

I am seriously tired of hearing about the pregnant "man". If you haven't heard of "him" then you must be deaf or don't own a TV or radio. It is all the rage and everyone is talking about it. I honestly don't know why because there is nothing all that fantastic about it. It actually disgusts me and makes me sick to my stomach.
